BACKUP takes forever  ---  can't be doing INCREMENTAL BACKUP
BACKUP takes forever --- can't be doing INCREMENTAL BACKUP. I don't give a @#$!% about media networking or whatever and I should not be STOPPING SERVICES to to get incremental backup to work. SIMPLY put an option on BACKUP AND RECOVERY to do INCREMENTAL BACKUP. If WIN7 (64 bit) sees a problem when I check that --- it can THEN prompt me to do something. WHere the h-ell is the ATTRIBUTE BIT that I'm used to so I can figure out more about what is going on !

Hi, Please refer the following methods and try to fix your problem: Method 1: Exclude the media files from being indexed (recommended) To do this, move all the multimedia content from the Public folder (%SystemDrive%\Users\Public) to a specific user or to any other folder that can be shared. For more information about how to share files and folders, visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Share-files-with-someone Method 2: Stop the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service To do this, follow these steps: Click Start, type Services.msc in the Search programs and files box, and then press ENTER. In the list of services, right-click Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service, and then click Stop. Please refer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981470 Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
